Design
Chairiot takes advantage of modern engineering techniques like finite element analysis and load simulation to design for every use case. Engineering materials are specifically selected to maximize Chairiot’s lifespan and durability. The designs are made in Autodesk Fusion 360, electronics made in KiCAD EDA, GUIs and code written in Python. Chairiot is a modern AMTC created with modern engineering tools.
Sensing
An extensive suite of sensors makes Chairiot a true smart cart. Chairiot is able to report it’s own battery status, temperature, weight, and location, as well as display video feed from it’s front-facing camera. The AMTC uses ultrasonic sensors to detect its surroundings, and is equipped with RFID reading capabilities for cart security or goods management.
